Our Story

From the UK to Hyderabad.

Vernon Skin and Hair Clinic was born from a simple observation: the gap between international dermatological standards and what was available in India was too wide to ignore.

The Beginning

Dr. R. Brahmananda Reddy began his medical career with an MBBS degree, followed by a Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery. Most surgeons at this stage would pick a surgical subspecialty. Dr. Reddy chose a different path. He traveled to the United Kingdom to pursue an MSc in Dermatology Skills and Treatment at the University of Hertfordshire, followed by a Diploma in Dermatology.

This was not a conventional career choice. Dermatology in India at the time was largely a clinical, non-surgical field. But Dr. Reddy had seen something during his surgical training that most dermatologists had not: the precision that surgical technique brings to cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. He wanted to combine both worlds.

Building Vernon

In 2011, Dr. Reddy returned to Hyderabad and founded Vernon Skin and Hair Clinic. The name “Vernon” was chosen to reflect the clinic’s aspiration toward timeless, understated quality — not flash, not hype, but substance.

The first clinic opened in Manikonda, serving the growing IT corridor of Hyderabad’s western suburbs. The approach was different from day one: Every procedure was performed by qualified doctors, using evidence-based protocols rather than trend-based treatments, and refusing to delegate surgical steps to unqualified technicians.

Word spread. Within two years, the clinic had built a reputation that attracted patients from across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The demand led to a second location in Banjara Hills — Hyderabad’s premier address — followed by a third in Gachibowli, near the Financial District.

The Surgical Difference

What makes Vernon fundamentally different from most dermatology clinics is Dr. Reddy’s dual training. He is both a trained surgeon (MS in General Surgery) and a board-certified dermatologist and aesthetician. This means he understands tissue handling, wound healing, and surgical anatomy at a depth that most dermatologists simply do not have.

This background directly translates to better outcomes. Hair transplant surgeries at Vernon achieve consistently high graft survival rates because our surgical team handles the extraction, channel creation, and implantation with precision. Cyst excisions heal with minimal scarring. Mohs micrographic surgery — the gold standard for skin cancer removal — is performed with the exactness it demands.

Training the Trainers

By 2016, Dr. Reddy’s expertise in aesthetic medicine had gained international recognition. He attended the 24th World Congress of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and was invited to conduct training workshops across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia and Bangkok.

Menarini, a leading pharmaceutical company, appointed Dr. Reddy as an official trainer for their dermal filler products. This “trainer of trainers” status means that when other doctors need to learn advanced injection techniques, they learn from Dr. Reddy. It is the highest validation of clinical skill in aesthetic medicine.

Vernon Today

Today, Vernon Skin and Hair Clinic operates across three Hyderabad locations: Banjara Hills, Manikonda, and Gachibowli. The team has grown to include Dr. Asritha Reddy, an aesthetic physician and anaesthesiologist who brings her own expertise to the practice.

The clinic has earned a 4.9/5 rating on Google from over 3,200 verified patient reviews. More importantly, it has earned the trust of patients who return year after year — and the referrals of colleagues who send their own families to Vernon.

The mission remains unchanged: provide honest, evidence-based, surgeon-led dermatological care that meets international standards. No shortcuts. No delegation. No compromise.
